The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has announced that it is currently conducting investigations into the alleged abuse of the Nigerian currency by several celebrities.
In a statement released by the EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, it was revealed that the anti-graft agency has invited these celebrities for questioning and has obtained valuable information during the interrogation process.

The EFCC emphasized its commitment to pursuing justice without any bias or favoritism, and warned the public to be cautious and abide by the laws regarding financial crimes.
Notably, in recent news, popular cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, was sentenced to six months imprisonment by Justice Abimbola Awogboro, with no option of a fine, for his involvement in Naira abuse.
