NAF airstrikes have killed scores of terrorists in Kaduna, significantly impacting their operations. Read about the successful mission.
The recent airstrikes carried out by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) in the Giwa and Igabi local government areas of Kaduna State have resulted in the successful elimination of a significant number of terrorists. AVM Edward Gabkwet, NAF’s Director of Public Relations and Information, made this announcement in a statement released in Abuja on Sunday.
Despite facing weather challenges, the air operations, which are part of Operation Whirl Stroke, have been ongoing with considerable success. Notably, one of the strikes targeted Alhaji Layi’s enclave in Kufan Shantu Village, Giwa Local Government Area, where terrorists’ logistics hidden under dense foliage were destroyed.
Furthermore, similar airstrikes were conducted in Malum Forest, Igabi Local Government Area, on Saturday, resulting in positive outcomes. The Battle Damage Assessment footage revealed terrorists in the forest near zinc-roofed structures, leading to a precision strike that eliminated most of the terrorists.
AVM Edward Gabkwet’s statement emphasizes the NAF’s persistent efforts to reduce the capabilities of criminal elements in the North West, despite facing adverse weather conditions.
