Edu was suspended by the President on Monday due to her suspected involvement in a N585 million fraud.

She recently allowed the transfer of N585 million in social intervention funds into a civil servant’s private account, according to a leaked memo.

In light of this, Tinubu sent the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, or EFCC, instructions to look into the claim.

In response, Imo State governor and chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum Hope Uzodinma pleaded with Nigerians not to jump to the conclusion that Edu is responsible for the corruption charges levied against her.

Uzodinma advised Nigerians to hold off on making judgements about Edu until the conclusion of the current investigations.

He made his remarks to the media during the Forum’s Abuja summit.

And according to the President’s wisdom, an investigation is underway. The government won’t make a final decision until the investigation is finished and the report is made available to it, he stated.
