N12bn outstanding payments for Super Eagles and others get the go-ahead from Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu has given his approval for the disbursement of N12 billion to settle the outstanding payments owed to the Super Eagles and other national teams across different sports. This announcement was made through a statement released by the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Media Center.

The payment will cover the salaries of senior national team coaches for a period of 15 months, as well as allowances and commitments owed to the senior national teams, female teams, and the Under-20 national team.

This development is particularly significant as it coincides with the Super Eagles’ preparations for their upcoming participation in the Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled to commence later this month.
