Hazel Oyeze Onou, better known as Whitemoney, is a reality TV star and singer. He has stated that his most recent song, “Oyoyo,” should win a Grammy.

“Oyoyo” is presently the “biggest song” in Eastern Nigeria, according to the BBNaija Season 6 winner.

“My latest single, Oyoyo, is the biggest song in the East right now,” Whitemoney stated in a recent interview. That song is worthy of a Grammy, and I’m not just saying that—I’m not capping.

In the interview, the musician also disclosed that he is pursuing a career in Nollywood.

“I think I have what it takes to be a major Nollywood star—talent, ability, and personality. I’m working on two films at the moment. They would open in theatres before the year was out,” he claimed.

OBASANJO NEWS24 recalls that the Grammy organisers recently established a Best African Music Performance category. The first nominations for the 2024 edition of the award were Tyla’s “Water,” Ayra Starr’s “Rush,” Davido and Musa Keys’ “Unavailable,” Burna Boy’s “City Boys,” Asake and Olamide’s “Amapiano,” and Burna Boy’s “Unavailable.”
