Charles Chibuezechukwu, better known by his stage name Crayon, is a Nigerian singer who has opened up about his struggles with health problems and public acceptability.

During a recent appearance on “Drip Check,” the singer revealed that, despite recording songs one after the other, he struggled with depression in 2020 as a result of the lack of public acceptance.

The Mavin musician also talked about his near-death experience in 2022.

2020 was one of Crayon’s worst years in the game, he said. I released roughly seven songs, but none of them were successful. When I dropped “Gbona,” I recall that everything was about to take off when COVID-19 struck. “Gbona” was also a huge club hit. Even when I stopped the video, it didn’t start up. Every two weeks, I released new music.

“In the beginning of 2022, I broke down. People don’t recover from that kind of stuff, so it’s a marvel that I’m still here. I nearly lost my life,” he continued.
