My husband was the one who came up with the idea for ‘Men Are Crazy- Simi

Popular singer Simi, also known as Simisola Kosoko, has disclosed that her husband, Adekunle Gold, was the one who came up with the concept for her controversial track, ‘Men Are Crazy’.

According to Obasanjonews.com, the song received mixed reactions, with many male social media users criticizing the singers for its condescending tone.

During an appearance on Angela Yee’s podcast, ‘Way Up’, Simi revealed that Adekunle Gold suggested the idea for the song.

She explained, “My husband gave me the idea for my song, ‘Men Are Crazy’. He said, ‘Babe, how about we create a song where you say men are crazy but I still want one in my bed?’ I thought it was unexpected coming from me, so I made the song.

Initially, I had completed two verses, but I felt like something was missing.

Then it struck me that I would love to have Tiwa on the song. Our music usually doesn’t align, but I thought it would be great to find that balance and create something that showcases our synergy.

So I sent it to Tiwa, she added her verse, and we filmed the music video together.”
