Toyin Lawani, a well-known fashion designer in Nigeria, recently shared that she had a terrifying surgical experience and nearly died for ten minutes after her lungs collapsed.
Last Friday, Lawani posted about her experience on her Instagram page, disclosing that a cyst and degenerative spine had been identified as her conditions.

She described the surgery, which included an implant for her spine’s C5 and C6, in a video clip that followed her journey from the pre-surgical stage to the difficulties encountered during the operation.
“I died for a whole 10 minutes,” she recalled. My daughter @kingtinukeleora’s pregnancy started when I developed severe back, leg, and neck discomfort. And eventually, I would become completely immobile on the left side of my body due to paralysis. I had continuous injections of painkillers.
Lawani said, “I was later diagnosed with a degenerative spine and a cyst in my brain,” which further demonstrated the severity of her condition. Guys, it took them ten solid minutes to resurrect me after I had died.
“My breathing stopped. After repairing artificial implants in my spine to restore my ability to walk normally, I developed edoema. Subsequently, I experienced difficulties that required me to use a tracheostomy tube for three months.
