My goal is to secure APC candidate position as governor of Edo state- Oshiomhole
Senator Monday Okpebholo, a candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC), will win the September 21 governorship election, according to Senator Adams Oshiomhole of Edo North.
In order to guarantee that the APC won the gubernatorial election, Oshiomhole declared he was prepared to assume the role of sweeper.
Over the weekend, he gave a speech to kick off the party’s election campaign council.

“If I have to play the sweeper role, I’m ready to sweep Senator Monday Okpebholo into office as governor,” declared Oshiomhole.
All APC members and supporters are part of our movement for real change, spearheaded by Senator Monday Okpebholo.
“Every member of our party must work hard to win their units and wards, local government, and state. Titles do not matter.”
Senator Matthew Urhoghide, the Director General of the APC Campaign Council, also spoke and asked the party’s disgruntled members to get together and strive towards victory.
He asked people who felt wronged to downplay the importance of money.
The electorate of Edo State will convene to choose the next governor of the state on September 21.
The candidates for the APC are Senator Monday Okpebholo of the APC, Asue Ighodalo of the PDP, and Olumide Akpata of the Labour Party.
