During a recent interview with MTV Live to promote her latest movie project ‘Water and Garri’, Tiwa Savage expressed that acting was her initial passion before she delved into the world of music.
She confessed that her admiration for a certain individual who was closely associated with musicians influenced her decision to shift her focus from acting to music.
‘Water and Garri’, the film project that Tiwa Savage is currently promoting, is produced by Unbound Studios and JM Films, with filming taking place in Cape Coast, Ghana.
Notably, Tiwa released a music EP with the same title in 2021, showcasing her versatility as an artist. Additionally, she not only wrote and performed the original soundtrack for the film but also serves as an executive producer through her company Everything Savage.
In ‘Water and Garri’, Tiwa Savage portrays the character of a fashion designer establishing her career in the United States, who later returns to Africa to confront the unresolved issues from her past.
The film also features talented actors such as Mike Afolarin, Andrew Bunting, and Jemima Osunde, adding depth to the storyline and performances.
