Elon Musk has reportedly donated $75 million to Donald Trump’s campaign, marking a significant financial contribution that could impact the upcoming election and political landscape.

Elon Musk has recently confirmed donating $75 million to a pro-Donald Trump organization. The US billionaire established the America Political Action Committee in July, aiming to increase voter turnout for the Republican nominee in key battleground states that could be crucial for deciding the presidential election on November 5.

Musk, with a net worth of $246.5 billion, has previously funded both Republican and Democratic candidates in past campaigns without showing a strong preference for either party. However, after the failed assassination attempt on Trump on July 13th, Musk publicly endorsed the GOP candidate and has since been an outspoken supporter.

In response to a post by another X user stating “Elon Musk has given nearly $75 Million to @America PAC,” the SpaceX and Tesla CEO confirmed this with just one word on Wednesday.

Earlier in the day, both Reuters and Bloomberg reported, based on Federal Election Commission disclosures, that Musk had contributed nearly $75 million to America PAC from July to September. As per Reuters’ account, the tech mogul was the only benefactor of this group during that time frame, making him one of the leading Republican donors overall.

America PAC primarily concentrates on recruiting canvassers and placing digital advertisements to encourage Trump supporters to vote.

On Sunday, the Republican candidate revealed plans to establish a “new position: secretary of cost-cutting,” intended specifically for Musk if elected. Trump mentioned that this entrepreneur, whom he praised as a “great business guy,” had already shown interest in accepting the role.

Earlier this month, the billionaire joined the former president at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where Trump had been shot and wounded back in July. At this event, Musk called the upcoming November 5 vote “the most important election of our lifetime.” He also claimed that Democrats aim to “take away your freedom of speech.”

In its Wednesday report, Bloomberg stated that the Republican nominee was significantly trailing behind Kamala Harris in fundraising efforts. This financial advantage has enabled the Democratic presidential candidate to launch a vigorous voter mobilization campaign across all seven battleground states, according to the media outlet.
