After the success of the All Progressives Congress’s (APC) Saturday presidential rally in Borno state, the party’s deputy national publicity director, Murtala Ajaka, promised that the APC would surprise Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s presidential candidate, in his own North-East.
Ajaka, who was present at the presidential rally, commended the governor of the state and the people of Borno for turning out in large numbers to support Sen. Kashim Shettima, the party’s vice presidential candidate.
According to a statement issued in Abuja and signed by the APC deputy spokesman, Ajaka, not even the harsh cashless policy will dissuade Borno and the entire North-east from casting their votes for the APC on Saturday of next week.
The PDP and its presidential candidate are receiving a clear message from the Borno outing that a surprise is in store for them in the North-east, he added.

Ajaka expressed confidence that his party would win the general election not just in the North-East but also across the entire nation.
However, the statement urged other states and regions to follow the example set by the North-east by assuring widespread support for the APC.
“The message is obvious that the people of Borno State support the APC, and not even the current controversial cashless policy would deter them from voting for Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu and their son, Senator Kashim Shettima, on Saturday of next week,” he stated. Sincerely, I applaud Borno’s leadership, the APC, and the government for this outpouring of solidarity.
I’ll remind them to keep going till the major objective is accomplished on Saturday of next week.
The leader of the APC also gave the populace the assurance that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu “is a promise keeper who will fulfil all the promises he has made in his manifesto and reposition the country for better.”
The APC spokesman urged Nigerians not to be drawn away from the concerns regarding the aptitude, capability, and history of the Presidential contenders vying for their support next week.
