Murder of the Rivers DPO had a N100 million bounty placed on the alleged perpetrator and others

Siminalayi Fubara, the governor of Rivers State, issued a N100 million reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Gift David Okpara Okpolowu, also known as 2-Baba, and members of his gang in connection with the brutal killing of Divisional Police Officer Bako Angbashim.

The DPO was slain on Friday night in an operation with his men in the Odiemudie Community, Ahoada East local government area of the state, according to Obasanjonews24

Anyone who provides helpful information that results in the arrest and punishment of the culprit will be paid with the N100m, according to Governor Fubara, who announced the bounty in a statement he personally signed.

In some areas of the state, kidnapping and terrorism are committed by the main suspect in the death of the DPO, claims the governor.

First, all members of Mr. Gift David Okpara Okpolowu’s criminal organisation and 2-Baba are hereby designated wanted suspects.

“Second, a hundred million (N100,000,000.00) naira ($1,000,000.00) bounty is hereby placed on his head for anyone who provides crucial information that would result in his capture and punishment.

As a result of his suspected involvement in the DPO’s death, the governor also declared the permanent suspension of a monarch named Eze Cassidy Ikegbidi.

He said, “Thirdly, His Majesty, Eze Cassidy Ikegbidi Eze Igbu Akoh II, is therefore suspended permanently for acts of involvement in transferring control of his area to the infamous David Gift and his gang to freely operate and carry out their nefarious actions.
