Nigerian artist, Slimcase, has disclosed the reason behind his Grammy-winning counterpart, Wizkid, keeping most of his collaborative tracks with other musicians to himself.
Slimcase mentioned that Wizkid has a meticulous process when it comes to selecting songs for release, as he listens to them around 50 times to ensure they meet his high standards before deciding to drop them.
This attention to detail often results in collaborations with Wizkid not seeing the light of day if they fail to meet his criteria, leaving many artists disappointed.

In a recent interview with Naija FM in Lagos, Slimcase explained how Wizkid allows artists creative freedom during the recording process but carefully evaluates the final product before making a decision.
Slimcase himself worked with Wizkid on the track ‘Gucci Snake’ back in 2018, showcasing the outcome of their collaboration.
On a different note, singer BNXN criticized Wizkid for holding back collaborations with emerging artists, pointing out that despite working with many young talents, most of the songs never get released, causing frustration within the music industry.
