Five members of a single family were among the victims, according to the channel’s correspondent, who were murdered when a building fell in the city of Demnate.
The magnitude of the earthquake was 6.9 according to the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Centre. In contrast, it was reported as 6.8 by the United States Geological Survey.

According to reports, a mosque and other ancient structures in the vicinity of Jemaa el-Fnaa plaza in Marrakesh’s Old City were damaged.
