artist Naira Marley has pleaded with Nigerians not to cancel him, according to popular music executive and ex-husband of singer Tiwa Savage, Tunji Balogun, aka Teebillz.
Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba, alias Mohbad, was a former signee of Naira Marley, who has come under fire since he was alleged to have been involved in the unexpected death of the man.
Although the head of Marlian Music and the artists on his record label have denied the accusations, many Nigerian media outlets have removed their tracks from playlists.
Teebillz responded on his Instagram page by claiming that Naira Marley is “too young and talented to be thrown under the bus of cancel culture.”
When “none of the after death advocates of love” did, he claimed that Naira Marley did. Naira Marley believed in and contributed to Mohbad’s musical career.
Naira Marley is too young and too bright to be thrown under the bus of cancelled culture, the author argued. A top author of the modern era! A premeditated crime, in my opinion, is not guilty by association. Naira Marley deserves to be forgiven for his mistakes, and I pray that God would give him another chance to become a godly leader and influencer. Once upon a time, when everybody and their mother was a glorified Marlian… When none of the proponents of afterlife love did, Naira had faith in Imole and invested in her talent. May the Creator of all things grant us insight and knowledge where we lack it! (sic)”
