MTV Base, a well-known British music channel, has banned Marlian music as a result of the passing of Nigerian musician Mohbad.

Naira Marley, a musician from Nigeria, is the owner of the record label Marlian Music and is suspected of being involved in Mohbad’s untimely demise.

Mohbad, a former signee of Marlian Records, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, according to OBASANJO NEWS24.

Some national radio stations have banned all of the songs released by the Records Label as a result of the singer’s contentious passing. This ban is known as a “Not to Be Broadcast” (NTTB) order.

Ehizojie Okoeguale, aka DadaBoy Ehiz, a staff member of the MTV music channel and well-known TV host, announced the ban on Marlian music on Wednesday, adding his name to the expanding number of music outlets that have done so.

Okoeguale wrote: “MTVbase dropped everything Marlian in a post made on his X. Bravo to them.
