Terem Moffi received N10 million from Cross River State Governor Bassey Otu for his silver medal-winning performance with the Super Eagles at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
When Bassey paid Governor Otu a visit in his office, the donation was given by the governor along with his father and brother.
The footballer was praised by the top citizen of the state for being a good representative of Cross River and for living a life that young people in the state should aspire to.

In addition to pledging his administration’s continuous support for youth and sports development as a means of reducing young unrest and providing possibilities for them, the governor expressed his commitment to the Nice of France player.
Moffi made two appearances for the Super Eagles during the AFCON 2023 finals after being called up as a last-minute substitute for Umar Sadiq.
In the competition final, the Super Eagles were defeated 2-1 by the home team, Cote d’Ivoire.
The Nigerian team for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South and Benin Republic includes the striker from OGC Nice in France.
