A statement from the party’s Campaign Director of Media and Publicity, Bayo Onanuga, said that the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential rally in Minna, the capital of Niger State, was moved back on Wednesday to avoid a crowd.

The audience was large when the candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, arrived at the gathering, and when it was his turn to speak, they pressed up against him in anticipation.

The masters of ceremonies kept telling the crowd to leave so that the podium wouldn’t fall, but the crowd wouldn’t leave. Instead, they kept chanting, “We want Tinubu!”

Tinubu asked the people of the state to vote for APC candidates while holding the hands of Umar Bago, who is running for governor, and Abubakar Sani Bello, who is running for the Niger North Senate seat.

Despite the MC’s warning, the crowd kept growing, preventing him from finishing his sentence. 18 minutes after arriving, Tinubu had to depart from the gathering.

A representative for Tinubu praised Atiku for fixing his damaged vehicle.

Later, Tinubu opened his North Central Campaign Office, which was roughly a 10-minute drive from the Trade Fair Complex where the campaign rally took place and was located along the Eastern Bypass.

A swarm of APC supporters greeted Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he arrived in Minna on Wednesday for the big event,” the statement continued.

The roaring throng at the rally’s location, the Trade Fair Complex, was unheard of, according to the journalists there.

“That same day, Tinubu held another successful rally in Kaduna and then flew to Minna in the evening to meet with APC leaders.”

The audience was so large that Tinubu had to speak only briefly to thank the crowd and name the party candidates running for office.

Contrary to rumors that he was hurried off stage due to health issues, Tinubu shortened his speech to make time for other events that day.

He applauded the party faithful for turning out in large numbers to watch the presidential campaign get underway.
