Ministers are instructed by the UN Habitat Ambassador on transformative measures for sustainable development

The newly appointed Ministers have been tasked by Dr. Raymond Edoh, the UN Habitat Ambassador to Nigeria, to launch revolutionary policies that will ensure sustainable development in the nation.

Edoh, who is a life member of the International Chartered World Learned Society (ICWLS) USA, made this announcement on Thursday in Abuja through Mr. Emmanuel Dauda, his executive media assistant.

I’d like to congratulate the following Ministers on their new positions.

They are Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, Tahir Mamman, David Umahi, and Nyesom Wike, the ministers of the interior, education, and works, respectively.

Others include Betta Edu, the minister of humanitarian affairs and poverty alleviation, and Saidu Alkali, the minister of transportation.

According to him, the ministers have served the nation in a variety of ways, therefore it would not be difficult for them to fulfil their current duties.

“These ministers’ meritorious appointments, combined with their experience and qualifications, will have an impact in their areas of responsibility and advance the country,” according to the statement.

“Their selections would put new viewpoints, creative ideas, and competent leadership in charge of the situation.

“The people selected for these posts have the expertise, knowledge, and experience needed to meet the issues facing respective ministries.

They would prioritise the country’s growth, deal with urgent problems, and put policies and measures into place that will enhance the lives of the populace, he stated, without omitting any words.

The assumption is that they will carry out their national assignments with diligence, openness, and a strong sense of accountability, Edoh continued.

The success of the appointments, he stressed, depended not only on the qualifications and commitment of the candidates, but also on the backing they received from other stakeholders and Nigerians.

The genuine change that Nigerians hope to see would require cooperation, efficient government, and a dedication to upholding the interests of the country, he continued.

“President Bola Tinubu’s faith in their talents is undoubtedly a great indication, and enticing young people to support these ministers is a crucial step towards developing cooperation and inclusivity in administration.

It can be helpful to address the problems and goals of young people to have ministers who are youth-friendly and sympathetic.

In order for the youth to actively participate in decision-making processes and give their priceless thoughts and perspectives, he said, the ministers must foster an environment where they may do so.

The ministers would develop trust and engage the youth in fruitful discourse, according to Edoh, by being approachable, open-minded, and responsive to the concerns of the younger generation.

He demanded that youth-friendly policies and programmes be given top priority in order to solve the special problems that young people experience, such as unemployment, education, and social empowerment.

According to him, it is crucial that ministers uphold Nigerians’ trust and put the general populace’s interests first when doing their official duties.

Ministers are expected to act with honesty, transparency, and accountability by acting in the appropriate way.

“They should make decisions based on the welfare of the people, ensuring that policies and initiatives are designed to benefit the broader population,” he stated.

Edoh emphasised the importance of ministers being hardworking and devoted in their work, taking their responsibilities seriously, and working to improve the nation.

Affirming that Nigerian youngsters were firmly behind Tinubu and his vision for renewed optimism, he also praised Tinubu for his tenacity in working to improve Nigeria.(NAN)
