Ohanenye disclosed this on her X account.
She wrote: “Earlier this week, I visited the facility where Ruth Ogunleye, the female soldier, is receiving rehabilitation, in accordance with my earlier resolve.
“She was in excellent spirits and we had a friendly exchange, aside from the obvious improvement since my last visit.
“The excellent care and attention that the Army has provided to Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja through the deployment of their soldiers to the institution has impressed me, and I must commend her for it.
“In keeping with our mandate to promote the welfare and wellbeing of Nigerian women, the Ministry also deployed a desk officer to monitor her recovery.”
According to Obasanjo News24, Ruth Ogunleye alleged in a video that went viral on social media that she was subjected to sexual harassment, intimidation, and stigmatisation by a colonel and two other senior officers.
Since she turned down his advances for sex, she claimed the colonel was interfering with her life.
She further stated that in February 2023, he stopped paying her wages.
