Minister of Power, Adelabu remains in high spirits after jet crash
In the wake of the incident that occurred on Friday at the Ladoke Akintola Airport in Ibadan, Oyo, Minister of Power, Mr. Adebayo Adelabu, allayed concerns on Saturday regarding his safety.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ibadan was informed by a source close to the Minister that Adelabu seemed unfazed by the incident and was in good spirits.
According to NAN, the minister and a few of his assistants were on a private plane when it crashed close to the airport late on Friday night.
“The Minister believes there is no need for concern over the occurrence. He has handled it that way because it was essentially a small matter, according to a Minister’s assistant who wished to remain nameless.

The plane had taken off from Abuja and was headed for Ibadan when it crashed into a ditch near the runway after landing roughly 50 metres short of the threshold.
The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) announced on Saturday that it has started looking into what caused the event in a statement.
