The Chairman of the Tripartite Committee on National Minimum Wage, Bukar Aji, has called upon committee members to approach the final stage of their task with integrity, loyalty, respect, and inclusiveness for the benefit of the nation.

During the committee’s 4th plenary meeting, Aji emphasized the importance of moving beyond emotional appeals and embracing rational thinking, considering the various demands from citizens.

He urged committee members to prioritize doing what is right, even if it contradicts the committee’s initial stance.

A statement released by the Head of Press, Emmanuel Njoku, on Wednesday acknowledged the positive and informative nature of the assignment thus far, expressing optimism that the remaining work would be carried out responsibly and with a sense of patriotism.

Aji encouraged open and constructive discussions, aiming to reach acceptable recommendations for a new National Minimum Wage.

He stressed the significance of placing the country’s interests first, even when faced with challenging decisions that may contradict personal opinions.
