Nigerian troops have eliminated notorious bandit leader Kachallah Buzu along with several others in a successful military operation.
Nigerian soldiers under the Joint Task Force Northwest Operation Hadarin Daji (OPHD) have effectively put an end to banditry by carrying out a resolute operation. They were able to eliminate Kachallah Buzu, a prominent leader of notorious bandits in Zamfara State and some members of his gang as well.
Following detailed intelligence on the movement of bandits, an operation was executed in Mayanchi village during nightfall on September 12.

According to Zagazola Makama, a security analyst and counter-insurgency specialist, the soldiers set up a well-planned ambush that led to Buzu’s demise along with numerous members of his group.
Aside from causing significant casualties among the bandits, the troops dealt a major blow to their operational strength by seizing 30 motorcycles and a substantial cache of weapons.
The triumph of this accomplished raid signifies a crucial win in the ongoing military operation to reestablish tranquility and steadfastness in the restive Northwest area, where banditry has persistently posed as a menace to societies.
