Some armed bandits have been neutralized in the Shinkafi Local Government Area of Zamfara State by members of the Joint Task Force of Operation Hadarin Daji, a military unit operating in the state.

On Thursday, the troops fought the bandits in fierce firefights. They noted that all bandits’ camps in the Shinkafi council-controlled villages of Danbokolo, Malam Ila, Malam Sale, Kagara, Gangara, Fakai, and Manawa had been attacked.

A senior military source who requested anonymity said that throughout the operations, there were intense fire engagements with the armed bandits; some of them were neutralized while others fled with bullet wounds to the highlands next to Fakai Village.
