Rights activist and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Prof Mike Ozekhome, expressed his approval of Nigeria’s return to the old national anthem.
He emphasized that the change was long overdue. During a press conference, Ozekhome mentioned his delight in the country’s decision to revert to the previous national anthem, a motion he had initiated at the 2014 National Conference.
He highlighted the superior content and context of the old anthem compared to the current one, echoing the sentiments of the Senate President. Additionally, he suggested changing the name of Nigeria and its flag.
