Copa America 2024: Lionel Messi becomes the player with the most trophies in football history. Celebrate his remarkable achievement.

Lionel Messi, the captain of Argentina, has now secured the most trophies in the history of football.

During the final of the 2024 Copa America, Messi played for 60 minutes as his country triumphed over Colombia with a score of 1-0.

This latest victory marks the 45th trophy that the 37-year-old footballer has earned throughout his illustrious career.

Messi has surpassed the previous record held by his former Barcelona teammate Dani Alves, who had won 44 trophies.

The Argentine star has accumulated 35 titles during his time at Barcelona and has also clinched six trophies with the national team, including the Copa America in 2021 and 2024.

In addition to his club and international successes, Messi also claimed the Olympic gold medal at the Beijing 2008 Games.

Since joining Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in 2021, Messi has added three more trophies to his collection, including two Ligue 1 titles and a Trophee des Champions.

Furthermore, Messi was part of the Argentina squad that emerged victorious in the 2022 FIFA World Cup and also secured the Leagues Cup 2023 with Inter Miami.
