The Riyadh Cup will pit top teams from the Saudi Pro League against the Major League Soccer.
Al-Hilal and Inter Miami are scheduled to play in the friendly tournament.
The meeting between Messi and Ronaldo, though, is the one sparking the greatest curiosity.
The match, which takes place on February 1, may be the last encounter between these two all-time greats, who have a combined total of 13 Ballon d’Or.
“I can’t wait to be part of #RiyadhSeasonCup with my team Inter Miami CF as we face top Saudi clubs in a historic championship,” Messi wrote on social media.
