Lionel Messi has officially become Inter Miami’s all-time leading scorer, further solidifying his impact on the team since joining the MLS club. His goal-scoring prowess continues to make headlines worldwide.

On Saturday, Lionel Messi became the all-time leading scorer for Inter Miami.

The 37-year-old delivered an impressive hat-trick in just 11 minutes, leading the MLS team to a 6-2 victory over New England Revolution at Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Messi’s goals assisted Inter Miami in setting a new MLS record for the highest number of points achieved in a single season.

They concluded the regular season with 74 points over 34 games, achieving a record of 22 wins, 4 losses, and 8 draws. This narrowly surpassed the Revolution’s previous record of 73 points set in 2021.

Miami had fallen behind by two goals, but Luis Suarez scored twice to even the score.

However, it was Messi who appropriately secured the club’s place in league history.

Just one minute after entering the game, he assisted in setting up Benjamin Cremaschi to give Miami its first lead in the 58th minute.

The winner of eight Ballon d’Or awards went on to score his first hat trick for Miami, becoming the club’s all-time leading scorer with 33 goals in the process.
