An enraged crowd in Jabbi Lamba, a neighborhood in Girei Local Government Area of Adamawa State, took justice into their own hands by attacking a man, reportedly mentally unstable, who had assaulted a married couple without any apparent reason.
The man, known only as Adamu, met his demise shortly after the assault on the couple that took place on Friday, April 5, as reported by Obasanjonews.com on Monday.
According to a witness, armed with a machete, the man viciously attacked the couple, causing severe injuries that required them to be hospitalized for medical treatment.

SP Suleiman Nguroje, the spokesperson for the Adamawa State Police Command, confirmed the incident and urged the public to seek professional help for family members who show signs of mental illness.
Nguroje emphasized the importance of not allowing mentally unstable individuals to freely wander in society, as it poses a significant risk to public safety.
