According to the media office, the presidency’s protest allegation is a ploy to arrest Obi, sparking debates on political maneuvering.
The Peter Obi Media Reach has refuted the accusation of associating ex-Anambra Governor, Peter Obi with a programmed demonstration.
In response to Presidential Media Aide Bayo Onanuga’s accusation, the media office labeled it as unfounded, malicious and unsubstantiated.
On Saturday, the media office released a statement by POMR spokesman Yunusa Tanko indicating that the presidency intended to exploit the upcoming protest in order to apprehend their former presidential candidate, Obi.
The Peter Obi Media Reach (POMR) has taken notice of the unfounded and malicious accusations made by Bayo Onanuga, a spokesperson in the Presidency, against Presidential candidate for the 2023 elections under the Labour Party; alleging that Peter Obi was responsible for orchestrating imminent protests in Nigeria.
According to the statement, Obi would be accountable for any chaos that may ensue during the protest. However, POMR has obtained information from credible sources indicating that these false accusations are a deliberate plot to detain Obi and restrict his movements and advocacy efforts towards promoting good governance – something they perceive as detrimental to their extravagant lifestyle.
Peter Obi’s demeanor, both in and out of politics, reflects a complete lack of aggression or affiliation with violence – even when faced with blatant provocation. During his campaigns, he maintains an issue-oriented approach without resorting to name-calling.
POMR acknowledges that numerous attack dogs have been employed and positioned in strategic areas to prevent Obi from reaching the Nigerian people who are eager to listen him speak about various concerns.
In order to justify their salaries, these spine doctors and minions partake in a plethora of deceitful tactics under the guise of diverting Obi’s attention and bewildering Nigerians who already view him as a soothing remedy amidst the present chaotic political and economic climate.
The insensitivity and extravagant lifestyle of the individuals have resulted in both real and perceived issues, which they peculiarly attempt to attribute to Obi. The administration’s notable difficulties arising from their conduct or lack thereof include fuel subsidy-related fallout, rising poverty levels across the country, inflationary pressures, nepotism concerns and unresolved historical conflicts. However, all these challenges are unjustifiably blamed on Obi by them.
POMR is urging Nigerians to disregard the Presidency’s attempt at cheap blackmail. Instead, Obi and his loyal supporters across Nigeria and beyond remain determined in their quest for a better Nigeria that can be achieved without backing down or losing sight of their goals.
