The potential transfer of Kylian Mbappe was discussed in the locker room this summer, according to Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal.

After being excluded from PSG’s preseason tour of Japan, Carvajal acknowledges that he mistakenly believed the 24-year-old would sign with the LaLiga giants.

“There were a variety of perspectives expressed during the preseason after-dinner discussions, but I won’t lie to you and say it wasn’t brought up. In response, Carvajal said, “Well, I think it’s coming, well, I think it’s not.”

After making it plain that he would not sign a contract extension, Mbappe was forced to engage in a heated argument with the French team.

His contract at Parc des Princes expires in June 2024.
