Masari urged the people of Katsina to pick deserving leaders in order to advance society.

Aminu Masari, the governor of Katsina State, has urged all 34 elected chairmen of local government councils to support Dr. Dikko Umaru Radda, the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) candidate for governor, on Saturday during the governor and state house of assembly elections.

Masari, however, advised state citizens to choose capable leaders in the upcoming elections in order to improve their community.

At a speech on Sunday at the Katsina People’s Square, the governor welcomed the 34 elected LGA chairmen from Katsina who had come to the city to celebrate with him and the incoming president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC’s win in the just-concluded Presidential and National Assembly Elections.

Masari believed that by electing three (3) APC senators and nine (9) members of the Federal House of Representatives in the recently concluded elections, he had made a contribution that none of the Northern State Governors had the opportunity to.

He also extended his gratitude to the people of Katsina for defending the interests and dignity of the North as well as the APC as promise keepers.

He continued, “For the benefit of our society, we must make sure that we elect good leaders.

APC would undoubtedly win the governorship seat, according to the State Deputy APC Chairman Hon. Bala Abu Musawa, whose party produced nine members of the House of Representatives and three senators in the recently concluded elections.

If elected, the APC governorship candidate in the state, according to Musawa, will firmly deal with and expel all bad apples from the party in general and the state in particular.

The Katsina elected APC Chairman, Sani JB Daura, elected councilors, and other throngs of APC supporters, primarily young people and women, also joined in the victory celebration.
