Many passengers are kidnapped when gunmen raid the train station
Unknown numbers of passengers were kidnapped from a train station in the Igueben Local Government Area of Edo State by gunmen who are thought to be Fulani herders.
Chidi Nwabuzor, the state’s police public relations officer, acknowledged the occurrence in a statement and stated that multiple people were hurt in the terrible attack.
When the attackers broke into the station and started shooting randomly, the victims were waiting to catch a train to Warri, in Delta State.
It was still unknown at the time this report was submitted if anyone had died in the incident.
This occurs just over a year after terrorists who are thought to be Boko Haram rebels assaulted a train travelling from Abuja to Kaduna and kidnapped numerous people.
