Man who killed his brother, 502 other alleged criminals captured by police in Kaduna

503 people have been detained by the Kaduna State Police Command for a variety of offenses that include cattle rustling, banditry, culpable homicide, and other connected crimes.

The Commands’ spokesperson, DSP Muhammed Jalidge, revealed this at a parade on Thursday.

He said that within a month, the Command had apprehended suspects.

Ismail Mohammed of Maijere Village, Saminaka in the Lere local government area of the state, who is suspected of kidnapping and killing his brother Kabiru Mohammed after receiving N120,000 in ransom from the family, is one of them who was paraded.

Jalidge continued by saying that the suspects had been found with various weapons and cash.

“The Police Command in its duties of protecting the lives and properties of law-abiding citizens of Kaduna State, has succeeded in arresting fifty-three (503), suspects for various crimes including; armed banditry, armed robbery, handsets/handbags snatching, cattle rustling, culpable homicide, rape, shop breaking, theft, vandalization of rail tracks, and other related crimes,” he said.
