Manchester United agree on a transfer deal for Bologna forward Joshua Zirkzee, strengthening their attacking options. Discover the full details.
Manchester United has successfully reached an agreement with Bologna forward Joshua Zirkzee for a transfer deal.
The fee for the transfer is reported to be slightly more than £35m (€42.5m), surpassing the £33.6m (€40m) release clause that was in place.
However, the higher fee is justified by the inclusion of more favorable payment terms.
Instead of a one-time payment, Manchester United will spread the payment over a three-year period, making it more manageable for the club.
Additionally, personal terms have been finalized for a five-year contract with Zirkzee, who was previously part of the Netherlands squad during Euro 2024.
The next step in the process is for Zirkzee to undergo a medical examination with Manchester United, which is expected to take place later this week.
