Man stabs his stepmother, sister to death in Kano

In Kano, Nigeria, a 20-year-old man named Gandanfi Sagir is accused of killing his stepmother Rabi’atu Sagir and her daughter Munawwara.

The event happened on Saturday in the Kano city of Fadama, Rijiyar Zaki.

According to the information that was gathered, the suspect is thought to have killed the couple with a knife after blaming the stepmother for his mother’s divorce from his father.

Abdullahi Kiyawa, the spokesman for the Kano State Police Command, confirmed the event.

Superintendent of Police Kiyawa said that the suspect had been arrested and that a statement to that effect would be made soon.
