The district court in Glostrup, Denmark, revealed that a man who fatally stabbed a heavily pregnant lady in 2016 has been sentenced to life in prison and a period of preventive detention.
According to the court statement, the 30-year-old male is accused of stabbing the woman eleven times with a knife in a park close to Copenhagen before chopping off a portion of her nose.
The defendant denied committing the crime, and his defence attorney declared that he will file an appeal with the court.

The murder weapon has still not been located, and the man’s guilt cannot be established by technical evidence like DNA or fingerprints.
In 2020, while the suspect was incarcerated for the attempted murder of his ex-girlfriend, the police placed an undercover agent in the suspect’s cell.
The man’s confession to the undercover investigator about how he killed the pregnant woman was captured on tape, which helped the court convict him.
