A man named Stephen was charged by the Lagos State Government on Monday for allegedly defiling the four-year-old daughter of his lover in front of an Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court.
The defendant committed the crime at No. 5 Ayeloja Street, Ikorodu, on February 14, 2021, about 5 a.m., the Director of Public Prosecution, Dr. Babajide Martins, informed the court.
Martins argued that the defendant had sexual contact with the girl in violation of Section 137 of the Lagos State Criminal Law of 2015.
However, Justice Abiola Soladoye incarcerated the defendant in Kirikiri and postponed the trial until November 9.
