Man Fatally Stabs Wife Over Mobile Phone Dispute in Adamawa
In Adamawa State, a man named Ibrahim Abubakar has been taken into custody for the murder of his wife, Hajara Sa’adu.
The incident occurred after Abubakar accused his wife of taking his phone, leading to a heated argument.
During the altercation, Abubakar allegedly used a knife to repeatedly stab his wife in the back.
The tragic event took place at approximately 4:30 am on Monday, April 8. Abubakar, who works as a professional butcher and resides in the Sabon Gari area of Girei Local Government Area, left his wife in a pool of blood before fleeing the scene.
The father of the deceased reported the incident to the police, resulting in Abubakar’s arrest. During the preliminary investigation, a blood-stained knife, believed to be the murder weapon, was recovered.
Abubakar has confessed to the crime and expressed remorse for killing the mother of their only child.
