Man collapses and passes away during altercation with neighbor in Kwara

Usman Abubakar has tragically passed away following a physical altercation with his neighbor, Omotosho Jimoh, as confirmed by the state police command in Ilorin.

The incident, which took place on March 20, 2024, was reported by Mr. Adebayo Ahmed, the father of the deceased, who resides in Isale Koko, Ojagboro, Ilorin.

The fight between Usman and Omotosho reportedly occurred over a minor issue, resulting in Usman collapsing during the confrontation and subsequently being rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead by medical personnel.

The family of the deceased has chosen not to release the body for autopsy, opting instead for a burial in accordance with Islamic customs.

Omotosho Jimoh, the neighbor involved in the altercation, is currently evading authorities, but the state police command has launched an investigation to apprehend him and uncover the full details surrounding the unfortunate incident.

The spokesperson of the police command, DSP Ejire Adeyemin, emphasized that efforts are being made to bring the suspect to justice and shed light on the circumstances leading to Usman Abubakar’s untimely demise.
