The Adamawa State Police Command has detained a man named Amos Christopher for reportedly beheading and beating to death his younger brother.
The authorities found evidence showing that Thyson, Thymos’ younger sibling, was fatally beaten by 24-year-old Amos before he hacked his head off.
Four years old was the deceased.
It is known that Amos, a resident of the Dobi village in the Ga’anda District of the Gombi LGA, has epilepsy, although it is unknown whether this disease may have had an impact on his behavior.
According to sources, Amos saw little Thyson the day before, on June 18, “when his health condition worsened.”
According to a source with knowledge of the situation, “Amos had a seizure outside on June 18, 2023, and slumped before being taken back home by neighbors.
The next morning, when he angrily attacked his mother and his younger brothers who were at home with him, his health condition worsened and his behavior completely changed.
The 4-year-old kid was abducted and brought into a room, where he beat the boy to death while locking the door from inside. The young boy’s mother made every attempt to save him in vain.
He took the dead body outside and hacked off the head with the hoe he was holding.
According to SP Suleiman Nguroje, the spokesman for the Adamawa Police Command, the suspect has been claiming that he did nothing wrong and that his younger brother, who was allegedly killed, is still alive and living at home.
Christopher Haruna, the suspect’s father, claimed that he was gone at his farm when the crime happened.
He acknowledged that Amos had epilepsy and that the family has been working hard to find a treatment.
