Yahuza Abubakar, a 44-year-old man who allegedly defiled a five-year-old girl, has been remanded in a correctional facility by the chief magistrate’s court located in Kafanchan of Kaduna State.
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) initiated legal proceedings in court regarding the case.
On July 18, Mary Abashe reported the incident to NSCDC prosecutor Marcus Audu on behalf of her child.
It is said that Abubakar went to the residence of the complainant located at Ungwan Rimi area, where he forcibly took the young girl into the kitchen and committed a sexual assault. It has been reported that a neighbor discovered Abubakar in action.

The accused committed an offense that goes against Section 258 of the Kaduna penal code. However, because the court did not have jurisdiction over the case, Judge Samson Kwasu declined to hear the plea.
Instead, he instructed prosecutors to provide two copies of the case file to Kaduna State’s Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) for guidance on how best to proceed with legal action.
Further mention of the case is scheduled for August 6, as it has been adjourned.
