Discover how Nollywood’s Mama Insurance had her only child at 40 despite having one fallopian tube. An inspiring tale of resilience.
Mama Insurance, also known as Binta Ayo Mogaji, a veteran of Nollywood, has talked candidly about having her first kid at 40.
She disclosed that she had surgery to remove one of her fallopian tubes as a result of an ectopic pregnancy during an appearance on the “Talk To B” podcast.
The actress said that her child was born naturally even though she only had one fallopian tube.
She recalled that after turning forty, she had decided that if she didn’t have her own kid, she would adopt one.
She clarified that a few weeks after turning forty, she gave birth to her son.
According to Mogaji, neither she nor her son’s father had any desire to be married at that particular period.
“Unfortunately, the pregnancy was ectopic,” the actress stated. I was taken to seven different hospitals by them. Until the next day, the doctor stated he wasn’t sure if I would make it. They spent about seven or nine hours doing the procedure. When they came to see me at the hospital, a few of my coworkers started crying.
One fallopian tube had to be removed by the surgeons. However, I share a home with one, and I gave birth to my child naturally.
“I gave up looking for a husband because I was ready to start a family. I said that I would adopt a child if I didn’t have a child by the time I was forty.
“Jibola, my partner, arrived just before my 40th birthday because I gave birth to my child six weeks after turning 40.” However, he had no intention of marrying her.
