Patience Ozokwor, also known as Mama G, recently spoke out about the root causes of the frequent deaths among Nollywood actors. She attributed these deaths to the carelessness and negligence of the actors, emphasizing that their dedication to their work often leads them to neglect their health.
She highlighted the tendency for people to avoid proper medical care and opt for quick fixes like pain relievers from chemists or pharmacies, which she believes contributes to the problem.
Mama G expressed concern that many in the industry prioritize bringing joy to others while neglecting their own well-being, urging her colleagues to prioritize regular medical check-ups and take steps to protect their health.
Mama G also shared her emotional experience at the funeral of the late comic actor, John Okafor, known as Mr. Ibu. She described how she broke down in tears when she realized that he was truly gone, emphasizing the impact of his passing on her.
This experience further reinforced her message about the importance of taking care of one’s health and the need for her colleagues to be more mindful of their well-being.
Additionally, she recounted a transformative encounter with her maker in 2016, which led her to a deeper understanding of the importance of prioritizing her health and well-being.
