The trial of 300 individuals allegedly linked to terrorism and other egregious offenses against the nation has been recommenced by the Federal Government.

Yesterday, Michael Abu, the Head of Strategic Communication at the National Counter Terrorism Centre – Office of the National Security Adviser (NCTC-ONSA), issued a statement indicating that restarting the trial was part of an effort to support social justice by establishing a fair and open administrative process.

According to him, the current trial is consistent with the standards of International Criminal Justice and being conducted by Nigeria’s Federal High Court.

The trial of 300 individuals accused of involvement in terrorism and other serious crimes against the country has been resumed by the Federal Government.

Yesterday, Michael Abu, the Head of Strategic Communication in charge of the National Counter Terrorism Centre – Office of theNational Security Adviser (NCTC-ONSA), stated that resuming the trial aligned with the government’s objective to establish a transparent administrative system and promote social justice.

According to him, the current trial adhered to the International Criminal Justice system and was being conducted by Nigeria’s Federal High Court.

The involvement of the Office of the Attorney-General’s Complex Casework Group (CCG) and other essential parties, along with supervision from NCTC-ONSA, took place during Abu’s actions.

The involvement of other critical stakeholders, including the Complex Casework Group (CCG) from the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation, has been incorporated in Abu’s efforts, which are being coordinated and supervised by NCTC-ONSA.
