In the midst of the LP crisis, Kenneth Okonkwo issues a warning to Nigerians about the Abure-led NWC. Discover the details here.

Kenneth Okonkwo, a seasoned Nollywood actor and politician, has advised all to steer clear of the Julius Abure-led National Working Committee (NWC) of the Labour Party (LP).

According to Okonkwo, those who followed the Abure-led NWC were likely to fall victim to scams and lose their well-earned money due to the group being composed of dishonest individuals with bad luck.

On Monday, the experienced actor rejected a statement made by the NWC of Labour Party on his X handle. The statement claimed that Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) did not reject their previous convention.

He claimed that the rejected Abure-led NWC of Labour Party updated their lies and falsely stated that INEC did not reject their fraudulent convention, as indicated in a letter signed by Obiorah Ifoh. However, upon reviewing the document, it was discovered that the writer deliberately omitted to indicate when they notified INEC about changes made to the venue.

The reason for their absence was that they recognized the insufficient notice, rendering it void under Section 82(5) of the Electoral Act. INEC did not attend as they were not legally obliged to and didn’t decline out of choice.

Furthermore, the convention deemed invalid due to non-compliance with Section 82(3) of the EA since neither Labour Party members nor their duly elected representatives were granted voting rights for candidates they endorsed. This failure renders it incomplete as mandated by legal statutes.

It is common knowledge that ward, local and state congresses were not conducted prior to the alleged convention. INEC’s stance in rejecting this unlawful gathering was appropriate and it continues to remain invalid.

My advice to all is to stay away from this group of unfortunate deceivers, as following them will only result in losing your hard-earned money due to their scams.

Okonkwo had isolated himself from the Labour Party’s National Working Committee, headed by Julius Abure, as reported by DAILY POST previously.

He stated that he could not proceed with an NWC corrupt and incompetent which was led by Abure.

The experienced Nollywood actor vehemently criticized the Abure-organized national convention, citing its rampant criminality and corruption.

He stated that Abure’s alleged organization of the National Convention was marred by criminality, corruption, and incompetence that could not be erased.

“I did not abandon the comfort of APC, a ruling party, on account of their incompetence and dishonesty to join another corrupt and inept union that is presently led by Abure in the National Working Committee of Labour Party.”
