The National Chairman of the Labour Party, LP, Comrade Julius Abure, urged the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and its leadership to move past past issues during a press conference at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja. He emphasized the need for unity between the LP and NLC to alleviate the suffering caused by poor governance in Nigeria.
Abure stressed the importance of peace within the LP, NLC, and elected party members in the National Assembly to pave the way for a new direction for the country. He highlighted the necessity of creating a conducive environment to gain power and utilize it for the benefit of the citizens.
Addressing Comrade Joe Ajaero, President of the NLC, Abure called for setting aside any grievances to work together for the people’s welfare. He emphasized that internal conflicts within the Labour Party are counterproductive, especially when the nation’s workers are facing hardships. Abure underscored the significance of focusing collective efforts on combating common adversaries and enhancing the party’s effectiveness.
