Lookman sit out Super Eagles training in the 2023 AFCON qualifier

Ahead of this weekend’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone, Atlanta winger Ademola Lookman was excused from practice on Wednesday night.

The technical team didn’t give a justification for Lookman’s absence.

At the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, 22 players took part in the practice.

On Thursday night (tonight), at the field, the Super Eagles are anticipated to train in private.

On Sunday at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium in Monrovia, Jose Peseiro’s team will play the Leone Stars.

After defeating Sao Tome and Principe 1-0 on Wednesday, Guinea-Bissu surpassed them to take the lead in the group.
