Lobi Stars refute allegations of foul play by Bayelsa United

The Director of Media, Emmanuel Uja, emphasized in a press release that the claims made by Bayelsa United are not only unprofessional but also constitute an act of defamation against Lobi Stars.

Uja further urged the league governing body to take action against Bayelsa United and impose a fine on the club for their actions that could potentially tarnish the reputation of the game.

The upcoming match between The Pride of Benue and Bayelsa United is scheduled to take place at the Lafia City Stadium on Sunday.

The statement released by Lobi Stars expressed deep regret over the accusations made by Bayelsa United, labeling them as blackmail and defamation of the football club’s status. I

t also highlighted the peaceful nature of the Lafia City Stadium, citing previous matches against various clubs without any issues post-game.

Lobi Stars emphasized that they have no motive to conspire against Bayelsa United, especially considering their convincing victory over the club in an away match.
